    What is the eligibility for AFCAT exam?

    sir,i am now studying in TE(B.tech electronics);i want to know for which branch i can apply(in AFCAT exm)?; can i give AFCAT even in BE?
    how one can apply for UES?
    im filling application form for AFCAT-2012 ;in that there is block for "course applied for in preferable order"......i want to to fill the block what i am eligible for;being in TE am i just eligible for UES??
    please reply in detail as soon as possible;i have to fill the form.

    AS PER YOUR EDUCATION QUALIFICATION(B.Tech) then you can apply for

    1)technical branch

    2)flying branch

    3)ground duty branch

    eligibility criteria=

    education qualification=bachelor degree in any subjects/ bachelor of engineering/bachelor of technology

    -should had got 60% in subjects(over all)

    -age limit=

    a)19-23 year(flying branch)

    b)18-28years(technical branch)

    c)20-27years(ground duty branch)

    height=

    a)both male and female=162.5cm( flying branch)

    b)technical and ground duty branch

    -men=157.5mc

    SYLLABUS PATTERN=

    there would be 100 question with each question carry 3 marks for the right answer and for the wrong answer 1 marks would be deducted.

    2)verbal ability in English=comprehension,sentence completion,Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary,error detection.

    Any graduate are eligible for AFCAT exam , But i submit all detail about AFCAT exam :-
    In this exam three scheme ,
    1. Flying branch , Eligibility Criteria :
    It's exam sort service commission for both(men/women) .
    In this exam age limit is 19 to 23 year .
    Education qualification : Graduation in any scheme with 60% or have passed physics and math. subject at 12th level or Bachelor of engineering .
    Physical : Height min.162.5 cms or length of leg is between in 90 to 120 cms .

    2. Technical branch , Eligibility Criteria :
    Age limit : 18 to 28 year .
    Education : Technical degree of bachelor in CSE , ME , ECE , EE .
    Physical : Height for men 167 cms and for women 152.5 cms .

    3. Ground duty : The ground duty divided in few scheme which criteria is under below :
    Eligibility Criteria :-
    1. Administration : Age limit : 20 to 23 . Education : Graduate in any scheme .
    2. Account : Age limit : 20 to 25 year . Education : B.COM , M.Com .
    3. Education : Age limit : 20 to 27 year . Education : Post graduate in any scheme with 55% .

    Dear

    Engineering graduates are eligible for appearing the AFCAT exam. While you are B.Tech (electronic) graduate you can appear for the AFCAT exam.

    You can also appear for UES exam but I think it is better to write the AFCAT exam.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR AFCAT EXAM

    Ground Duty Branches –
    20-27 years of age.
    PG or Bachelor degree in any subject with at least 60% aggregate marks.

    Flying Branch –
    minimum of 19 years of age and maximum of 23 years.

    The candidate must have the B.E / B.Tech degree or a Graduate in any discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks.

    Technical Branch –
    18-28 years of age
    Aeronautical Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

    Hello friend,AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Admission Test.It is held to appoint candidates for various jobs under Indian Air Force.
    There are three posts under AFCAT for which you can apply.
    The eligibility is as follows:
    GROUND DUTY BRANCHES:
    20-27 years of age
    PG or Bachelors degree in any discipline with aggregate 60% marks

    FLYING BRANCH
    19-23 years of age
    BE/B.TECH degree with aggregate 60% marks

    I think you are Interested to apply for Air Force Common Admission Test and there are 3 Branches in this examination and the Eligiblity Criteria are not same for all the Branch, You have to apply for the Branch as per your Eligiblity.

    AFCAT :- Air force Common Admission Test and this examination is conducted by Indian Air force every year.

    Air force can be divided into three branches :-

    -Flying Branch
    -Technical Branch
    -Ground Duty Branch

    The eligibility criteria are not same for all the branches and every branch have a three own qualities and requirements.

    >>For Flying Branch :- the aspirant have to qualified graduate degree from a recognized University and equivalent qualification with physics and mathematics at 12th level examination.The aspirant age should be between 19 years and 23 years(i.e candidate born between 02 January 1990 to 01 January 1994) are eligible to apply.

    The aspirant must secure at least 60% aggregate marks in their examination and there is no backlogs at the time of appearing for this examination.

    >>For Technical Branch :- the aspirant have to passed aeronautical engineering in Mechanical or Electroics from a recognized University and equivalent qualification.The aspirant age should be between 18 years and 28 years(i.e candidate born between 02 January 1985 to 01 January 1995) are eligible to apply.

    The eligibility for the AFCAT exam is B.tech. You are B.tech graduate so you are eligible for writing these exams.

    B.tech graduates can also appear for UES exam.

    ~~~~ Graduation is the Minimum Education Qualification for the AFCAT.,

    ~~~~ If you have not completed your graduation then you are not eligible to apply for the Air force common admission Test. The AFCAT examination is conducted by the Indian Air twice in a year for the selection of candidates as an officer in various branches of Indian Air force like

    >> FLYING BRANCH

    >> GROUND DUTY BRANCH

    >> TECHNICAL BRANCH

    ~~~ Candidates having degree in engineering are only eligible for the flying branch. Candidates of other degree courses are only eligible to apply for the flying branch and the ground duty branch. They are not eligible to apply for the Technical branch.

    ~~~ Candidates who are in pre final year of engineering are also eligible to apply for the Air force common admission test. They can apply through University Entry Scheme. The UES is only for the pre final year students of engineering. Final year students are not eligible for this entry scheme.

    Age Limit :--

    >> Flying Branch :- 19-23 yrs

    >> Ground Duty Branch :- 18-28 yrs

    So these are the eligibility of the exam…if you fulfill these criteria then you may apply for the AFCAT which stands for the AIR FORCE COMMON ADMISSION TEST…and also that if you are in the final year of the graduation then also you can apply for the AFCAT exam…as final years appearing graduated students are eligible for the appearing in the AFCAT exam …..

    Any graduate are eligible for AFCAT exam , But i submit all detail about AFCAT exam :-
    In this exam three scheme ,
    1. Flying branch , Eligibility Criteria :
    It's exam sort service commission for both(men/women) .
    In this exam age limit is 19 to 23 year .
    Education qualification : Graduation in any scheme with 60% or have passed physics and math. subject at 12th level or Bachelor of engineering .
    Physical : Height min.162.5 cms or length of leg is between in 90 to 120 cms .

    2. Technical branch , Eligibility Criteria :
    Age limit : 18 to 28 year .
    Education : Technical degree of bachelor in CSE , ME , ECE , EE .
    Physical : Height for men 167 cms and for women 152.5 cms .

    3. Ground duty : The ground duty divided in few scheme which criteria is under below :
    Eligibility Criteria :-
    1. Administration : Age limit : 20 to 23 . Education : Graduate in any scheme .
    2. Account : Age limit : 20 to 25 year . Education : B.COM , M.Com .
    3. Education : Age limit : 20 to 27 year . Education : Post graduate in any scheme with 55% .

    I think you're Interested to use for Air Force Common Admission check and therefore there are three Branches during this examination and the Eligibility Criteria don't seem to be same for all the Branch, you have got to use for the Branch as per your Eligibility.

    Flying Branch
    Technical Branch

    sir, i was born on 9 dec 1991, ill be able to appear for afcat 02/2014.
    i want to enter the flying branch.
    according to eligibility criteria i will be of 23 years of age on date of commencement in july 2015.
    but as they are showing my date of birth wont be between 02 jan 1992 and 01 jan 1996.
    but still ill be 23 years... will i be eligible for the flying branch still?

    Dear aspirant, Cracking an AFCAT exam will lead you to join defence services in three branches. 1) Flying branch. 2) Technical branch. 3) Ground duty branch. For flying branch candidates should have done their graduation in any discipline from a recognised university who have attained 60 percent marks in aggregate in all papers put together and also have passed 10 2 with physics and maths to apply for the same. Age should be 19 to 23 years of age and relaxation for those holding valid and current commercial pilot license issued by DGCA india. For technical branch candidates should be 18 to 28 years of age, and should be a engineering graduate in aeronautical engineering in electronics and mechanical. UES also for technical branch same age and same qualification but for final year student of engineering. For ground duty branch there is age limits for graduates is 20 to 23 years of age, for PG/LLB five years 20 to 25 years of age, for LLb 3 years 20 to 26 years of age, and for med/phd/ca/icwa 20 to 27 years of age is required, There are some qualification required for different area in ground duty branch. 1) Administration 3 year graduation degree in any discipline 60 per cent marks aggregate in all papers.
