    i am btech final year studet in mechanical stream . iwant to join indian army please tell me procedure to join indian army or navy or air force?
    what is the respective eligibility levels of army, navy and indian air force?
    please provide relevant info>

    Career In Defense After B.tech




    If you are in the final year of B.tech then you are also eligible for the C.D.S exam. You are eligible after your B.tech. You can appear for Indian Army, Navy and Air Force through the CDS exam.

    1) Indian Millitary Academy.
    2) Indian Naval Academy.
    3) Indian Air Force Academy.
    4) Officers Training Academy.

    In the above catageries the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force Academy are permanent commissions and the Officers Training Academy is Short Service Commission.

    Eligibility For CDS :








    1) Indian Millitary Academy :







    You should have a Engineering degree from recognized university.
    Your age limit should be between 19 to 24 years.

    2) For Naval Academy :




    You should have Engineering Degree from recognized university or B.SC with Physics, and Mathematics.
    Your age limit should be between 19 to 22 years.



    3) For Air Force Academy :




    You should have Engineering Degree from recognized university or B.Sc equivalent with Physics, and Mathematics.
    Your age limit should be between 19 to 23 years.


    4) For Officers Training Academy :



    You should have Engineering degree from recognized university.
    Your age limit should be between 19 to 25 years.

    For the CDS exam there are two phase :

    1) Written Test.
    2) Interview for Intelligence and personality test.

    Dear aspirant
    you can join all the branches of defence as you have
    the perfect qualification to apply for the same.
    there will be 2 options for you to apply for indian air force and 1
    option for joining indian army and navy.
    options are as follows:
    -CDS
    -AFCAT.
    Lets go with the CDS examination.
    CDS-Combined defence services examination it is an
    Examination which conducted twice in a year by union public service
    commission of india.
    candidates can apply for Indian army, indian air force and indian
    navy by this examination.
    Eligibility criteria is -
    -graduate in any discipline from a recognised university
    to apply for indian army.
    -graduation in physics maths and engineering to apply for indian air force and navy.
    Age limit is the main thing you should take care:
    -for Officers training academy 19 to 25 years of age.
    -for indian millitary academy 19 to 24 years of age.
    -for air force academy 19 to 23 years of age.
    -for indian naval academy 19 to 22 years of age.
    selection procedure is similar to the NDA examination:
    -written test.
    -SSB interview.
    -medical examination.
    Lets go with the option by which you can apply for three branches
    of indian air force.
    The examination is known as AFCAT:
    AFCAT- Air force common admission test.
    Three branches are as follows ::
    -flying branch.
    -technical branch.
    -ground duty branch.

    If you like to apply for Flying branch then you must have
    graduation in any discipline from a recognised university with
    60% marks aggregate in all the papers. and physics and maths at 10+2
    level OR BE/BTECH is enough.
    age should be
    19 to 23 years of age.

    If youlike to apply for the Technical branch-
    Degree in mechanical /electronics engineering to apply for the post
    of aeronautical engineer.
    age should be 18 to 28 years of age.

    To apply for ground duty branch-
    age should be 20 to 23 years for graduates.
    20 to 25 for post graduates/ LLB 5 years.
    20 to 26 for LLB 3 years.
    20 to 27 for CA/ICWA/PHD/MED etc.
    there are three departments you can apply into ground duty branch:
    -administration.-graduate in any discipline with 60 percent marks
    aggregate or post graduation in any discipline with 50 percent marks
    aggregate from a recognised university.
    -accounts.-graduate in commerce with 60 percent marks aggregate
    or post graduation in commerce/CA/ICWA/MCOM with 50 percent
    marks aggregate from a recognised university.
    -education.-post graduation in any discipline from a recognised
    university with 50 percent marks aggregate.
