The salary of Indian Soldier ranges from 15600/- to 39100/- per month which is the starting pay,grade pay is Rs 5400/-.In addition to this,there are many allowances granted to them.Kit maintenance allowance Rs 400/-pm,transport allowance is between 1600/- to 3200/- per month,field area allowance is 25% of basic salary.

There are various post in defence. Each post(Rank) has different salary scale.
the minimum salary is of Javans/airmen/deck-cadet.Its around 12000 to 15000 pm
this figures continuously increases according to your rank.

THERE WAS DIFF -DIFF PAY SCALE FOR DIFF - DIFF RANK IN INDIAN ARMY FOR THE EXAMPLE THE MAXIMUM PAY SCALE FOR THE CHIEF IN ARMY IS 30000
