OTA stands for Officer's Training Academy and to join OTA, you have to appear for the Combined Defence Services examination. This examination is conducted by UPSC, Twice in a year. If you are Interested to Join Defence sector then you have to cracked the CDS Examination to Join OTA. This examination is conducted by UPSC, twice in a year and you have to apply only if you are fulfill the Eligibility Criteria.

The Examination is conducted twice, CDS(I) and CDS(II).

CDS(I) Examination Notification will published in the month of October every year and you can fill application form online after publishing the Notification.
CDS(II) Examination Notification Published in June and examination is conducted in September.

This year CDS(I) Examination was already completed and CDS(II) Examination is going to be conducted soon in September.

Both MEN and WOMEN are eligible for this entry. But women can only choose OTA only as the Preference at the time of filling online application form.
You have to fill the application form online and the application form is available in 2 parts and you have to fill both the part completely.

But firstly you have to cracked the written test, there are two papers in this test for OTA, English and General Knowledge. The exam is objective with negative marking.

To apply for CDS Examination, you have to complete your Graduation first. If your graduation is complete then you are eligible for this examination.
Your age should between 19 to 25 years to apply for CDS.

If you cracked the Written test and SSB interview then you are eligible to go for Training in CDS Academy for certain period.

So, please wait for the CDS(I) Examination notification and for more details check UPSC website.
