NDA stands for national defence academy examination which is conducted by UPSC twice in a year as NDA (1) and NDA (2).

the notification of NDA(1) examination has already been in the UPSC website ,the last date to apply for his examination is 30/jan/2012.

and the date of examination is 15/april/2012

The forms for the defence forces for the year 2012 has been published.As being a +2 completed PCM student the entrance exams which you could opt is NDA Exam which is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission)

Regarding the dates for the NDA exam about the notification for the dates refer below for information.There are certain other exams for joining in defence forces but regarding your qualification you can only apply for this exam.

If you have completed your 12Th examination then you are eligible to apply for NDA (I) Examination, The Notification of NDA Examination was already Published in the employment newspaper or in the UPSC Website. The Online Registrations was already started, But the last date of apply for this examination was already Over and if you are Interested then please wait for the NDA (II) Examination Notification.

The last date of apply for NDA Examination is 30/Jan/2012. (Already Over)

The examination will be held on 15/April/2012.

Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1994 and not later than 1st July, 1996 are eligible for NDA Examination. So, If your age should between 16.5 to 19 Years, then you are eligible to apply for NDA Examination. Your age should not be more than 19 Years at the time of Commencement of Training.

Other Requirements for NDA Examination :

>> You must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disease.
>> The minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cms. (162.5 cms for Air-Force).
>> Your chest should be well developed, fully expanded chest should not be less than 81 cms. The minimum range of expansion after full inspiration should be 5 cms

>> You should be able to read in a distant vision chart 6/6 in better eye and 6/9 in worse eye with or without glasses.
>> Myopia should not be more than 2.5 D and hypermetropia not more than 3.5 D including Astigmatism.
Physical conditioning:

You are advised to keep Yourself in good physical condition, by following given Routine :

>> Running 2.4 km in 15 minutes
>> Skipping
>> Pushups and sit ups (minimum 20 each)
>> Chin ups (minimum 08)
>> Rope climbing - 3-4 metres.

The Notification of NDA (II) Examination will be published on05/May/2012 and the last date of apply for this examination 04/June/2012. So, Please wait for the NDA (II) Examination Notification and then apply for NDA Examination.

The eligibility criteria for NDA
