    hi

    friend both navy and naval academy are same but functioning is different.

    naval academy means its a officer training programme which give training for the selected candidates who had cleared the entrance and interview.its is a initial training and its situtated in ezhimala,kerela.

    navy is part of the defense branch,where after compelting the training officers would perform their respective jobs.

    upon graduation cadets are commissioned as sub lieutenants in navy

    to get qualify for navy entry,one must crack the NDA OR CDS entrance exam which is held by upsc twice in a year.

    NDA (national defense academy)is meant for only unmarried male who are in inter final or 12th standard,can opt for indian army or indian navy or indian air force as a permanant or short service commission.generally in the month of august and april.
    age=16.5-19 years
    should be medically fine

    CDS (combined defense service exam) is for those aspirants who has completed degree or graduation,both unmarried male and female.
    age=minimum 19 years and maximum 25 years.
    must be a citizen of india.

    for further details you can visit upsc official website

    good luck

    thank you
