    Difference between CDS and UES?

    Guys.. could anyone tell me what exactly is the UES scheme. Im just little confused in differenciating between both of`USE and CDS..

    CDS EXAMINATION
    Eligibility Criteria
    • For Indian Military Academy / Officers' Training Academy: Degree from a recognized university or equivalent
    • For Naval Academy: B.Sc. with Physics & Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering
    • For Air Force Academy: Degree of a Recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering
    Age Limit:
    For IMA 19-23 Years
    For Air Force Academy 19- 23 Years
    For Naval Academy 19- 22 Years
    For Officer’s Training Academy 19- 25 Years


    SHORT SERVICE UNIVERSITY ENTRY SCHEME
    Eligibility:
    Final/ Pre final year students of Engineering discipline.
    You will be inducted into the technical branches/services of the Army, as Commissioned Officers.

    Dear friend there is no USE related exam in the defense service so make sure that what is it.

    well i am telling you about the CDS this exam is conduct by UPSC every year twice time and CDS full form is combine defense

    service in CDS there are all the three defense service are there in which you can apply for army your age must be 19 to 24

    year. for air force your age must be between 19 to 23 and must have B.tech or BE degree for flying branch must have 60%

    marks in B.tech or in BE and for navy must graduate in B.tech or BE and age must be between 19 to 24 year. after the

    written exam the selected students will refer to the SSB which is conduct for the 5 days and at last the medical for the

    selected SSB students. if you clear any one of force exam under CDS then you will directly become a officer in that service.

    CDS stands for Combined Defence Services examination
    UES stands for University Entry Scheme.

    You can Enter into Defence with the help of both these Examinations.

    Indian Army Invites Final Year and Pre Final Year Engineering Graduates to Join Indian Army As Permanent Service Commissioned Officer In Technical Branch Under University Entry Scheme.

    For UES, You have to complete your B.E/B.Tech Degree course from a recognised University, and your age should between 18 to 24 Years, But you have to scored minimum 60% Marks in your Engineering degree course to apply for University Entry Scheme.

    Physical Eligibility:
    • For Men Height 157.5 cms with proportionate weight.
    • For Women Height 152 cms with proportionate weight.
    Vision : Distant Vision (corrected ) better eye 6/6, worse eye: 6/18 myopia not greater than 3.50.

    CDS examination is Conducted by UPSC, Twice in a year for the Recruitment of these Academies :
    • Indian Military Academy
    • Naval Academy
    • Air Force Academy
    • Officer's Training Academy
    If you have completed your Graduate degree course with Maths and Physics as a compulsory Subjects then you are eligible for all the Academy.

    If you have not study Maths and Physics in your Graduation then you are only apply for IMA and OTA.

    To apply for CDS Examination your age should between 19 to 25 Years.

    The selection in CDS are based on Written test, personal Interview and Medical Test.

    But the Selection in University Entry Scheme is based only on SSB Interview or Medical Test, No Written test is Conducted for UES.

    CDS(Combined Defence Service Exam)
    UES(University Entry Scheme)
    Graduates in any disciple can apply for these exams
    B.tech graduates only can apply under this scheme
    Written Exam,Interview & Medical Test are the steps for Selection
    Campus Interview & SSB Interview & Medical Test are the steps for selection











    CDS(Combined Defence Service Exam) is conducted by UPSC for graduates to get selected in any one of the following wings for Training mentioned below:

    1.Army(Training Academy ::Indian Military Academy & Officers Training Academy)
    2.Navy(Training Academy ::Naval Academy
    3.Air force(Training Academy::Air force Academy)

    i can understand your doubt *
    i can clarify your doubt with my answer .the defece service exams are held *2times in year by u.p.s.c *[union public service commission ]
    their is small difference between the C.D.S AND U.E.S these two are entrance test for join in NAVY ,AIR FORCE
    C.D.S [COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE]it has written test and any graduate,bachelor degree is required in interview and physical test is their .
    U.E.C[UNIVERSITY ENTRY SCHEME ] it has no written test direct interview and physical test.only technical students can apply this one*
    the limit for both exams are 19 to 25 and unmarried state.
    you can join with your qualification and your personal interest .

    Dear
    UES(University Entry Scheme) exam is for THIRD and FInal year students of Any graduation course(atleast 4 years)
    UES is SHORT SERVICE COMMISION and mainly recruits for technical entries
    It doesnot have any written test you just have to give SSB
    it only hires for army

    while CDS is open for all students who have graduated(3 or 4 years) there is a written test
    the shortlisted students are called for SSB
    it grants permanent commission in the Army,Navy or Airforce

    Eligibility for CDS:

    >Candidate must be a citizen of India.

    > Candidate mustbe a unmarried male candidate

    > Age limit forthe CDS Exam is that the candidate must have 19-24 years of age.

    > Educationqualification for the CDS Exam is that the candidate must have completed adegree from a recognized university with a fairpercentage.

    > Final year candidates can also apply for this exam

    UES - University Entry Scheme

    Eligibility for UES:

    CDS stands for Combined Defence Service Examination

    CDS examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a years for admission to different defence services like :-

    -Indian Military Academy
    -Indian Naval Academy
    -Indian Air force Academy
    -Officer Training Academy

    To apply for above these examination then you have to qualified your graduate degree or engineering in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification.

    Air force and Naval Academy :- You have to finished your graduate degree or engineering degree in any desire stream with minimum marks from a recognized University or equivalent qualification with Physics and mathematics in their examination.Those who are pursing in the final year of degree course can also eligible to apply but there is no backlogs at the time of appearing for these examination.

    Military Academy and Officer Training Academy :- You have to qualified your bachelor's degree in any stream like Science or commerce or arts...etc from a recognized University or equivalent qualification with minimum pass marks in your examination.

    Selection Procedure of these examination :- Written examination,Personal Interview and Medical Test.

    UES examination is conducted by Indian Army Once in a year.

    It is an University Entry Scheme for Colleges students.

    Qualification :- Those who are pursing in the final year of degree course and pre-final year of degree course can apply for this examination.

    Only Unmarried candidates are eligible to apply for these examination and you must secure at least 60% or more marks in your examination then only your eligible to apply for this examination.Every year they fill :- 60 nos.

    Age limits :-

    Pre-final year :- 18 years - 24 years.
    Final year :- 19 years - 25 years.
